Can You Make Money with Business Apps?

April 5, 2019 by Eric 1 Comment

Is this possible that a business app can be utilized for monetization?

Yeah, of course, it is.  If you are running a speciality store and you think you are getting good sales or leads coming from your app, why not lease the code for other similar businesses located elsewhere?

Your successful app can be sold to other businesses to reskin and create a second income stream for your business.

Your success can be replicated and can be enjoyed by other struggling businesses. How can that be possible? Here’s a little trick you can do:

Branding

When you develop your app, and you want to put your app on lease or sell the code, make sure that the reskinning and tweaking will be handy for their developers. In that sense, they will not be consuming time on app development. The fact that they want to replicate your success and for sure not your app development struggles.

Why lease? Because you can still have the full ownership and in case you want to enhance the app in the future, you will enjoy the full rights over your mobile app. Leasing the codes for your app is synonymous with Private label Rights wherein you will give up a few rights over your property.

Reskinning / Rebranding

Waiving rights to your customers will aid them to rebrand your app via reskinning. Providing new presentations. In the aspect of adding more functions and integration, it will be stated under the PLR contract if you will limit their enhancement capacity or allow them to do so.

The ideal industries that can use this  App Lease Scheme are the following:

Professional Services: App for booking for Dentists or appointment setting for accountants, lawyers, etc.

Real Estate Agencies: Everyone’s using their smartphone to look for properties to buy or contact agents to buy their homes. Such an app for this purpose can indeed be helpful for local or small-time real estate companies.

Hotels & Restaurants: Booking and ordering apps for hotels and restaurants can be reskinned to take in other brands and republish on the Google Play store.

Utilities: Light and power companies can share a typical app. You can come up with an app with the same feature and provide a mechanism for reskinning.
